Timm van der Gugten, Glamorgan’s Player of the Year, claimed his 50th Championship wicket of the summer as he dismissed Mark Wallace during the Club’s final match of the season at Grace Road.
He came into the match with 47 victims to his name, and after dismissing Paul Horton and Ned Eckersley, he added the scalp of Pettini to follow in the footsteps of several other international seam bowlers, including Waqar Younis (1997), Ottis Gibson (1994), Michael Kasprowicz (2002) and Hogan himself in 2013 by claiming 50 first-class wickets in his debut season with Glamorgan in county cricket.
