Tickets for this year’s Vitality Blast are now on sale with Glamorgan to play seven matches in the group stages of the competition at Sophia Gardens.

All home fixtures will be held between May and July as the competition moves to the height of summer.

The Welsh county will be looking to improve on last season’s form and replicate results from previous editions where they have consistently challenged for the knockout stages.

In 2016 the club secured a home quarter-final and went one better the following season when they topped the South Group before defeating Leicestershire Foxes in the quarter-final to reach Finals Day for the first time in 13 years.

Although Glamorgan failed to reach the knockout stages in 2018, the team still managed to put together a club record five wins in a row in T20 cricket.

This summer the Welsh county kick-off their campaign against a star-studded Surrey team on Sunday, 31st May, before they play a mid-week fixture Kent Spitfires (10th June).

Glamorgan then play four Friday night matches in a row at the home of Welsh cricket, starting with The Big Match against local rivals Somerset on Friday, 12th June.

Their final group stage match of the Vitality Blast season comes against Sussex Sharks on Sunday, 12th July.

Vitality Blast tickets are just £10 in advance for adults on Sunday and Wednesday fixtures and only £15 on Fridays, while children’s tickets are free across all seven matches throughout the summer.

“We have some fantastic fixtures scheduled this season with four Friday night matches that are ideal for people coming straight after work with colleagues looking for their summer social.

“We’ve also made the decision to make children’s tickets free across all seven home matches, which will hopefully inspire more families to attend and support Glamorgan and create a great atmosphere at each of our games.”

Off the field, there will be plenty for children to do in the ‘Fun Zone’ with Glamorgan’s mascots Morgan and Dewi the Dragon.

Kids will also be able to enjoy free entertainment, which includes live music, as well as a range of family friendly activities.
