Wagg looks ahead to Worcestershire clash

With the same 14-man squad travelling to Worcestershire and New Road that was in contention for a place on Friday night, Glamorgan and Graham Wagg are looking to finish off the 2020 season on a high.

After Glamorgan defeated Gloucestershire by 17 runs on Friday night, thanks to 99* from Andrew Balbirnie and 3-34 from Wagg, the Welsh county head up the M50 to Worcester looking to secure back-to-back wins, and with a very outside chance of still securing knockout stage cricket.

"It's always nice to be back in the side and contributing. It's been frustrating but that's the way it goes.

"The bowlers have been bowling really well, so to get my chance and take a 3-for and contribute to a win is fantastic.

"We were happy with our score but it's tough to give a par score sometimes on those wickets, and tonight was a fantastic wicket and the bowlers did fantastic again."

With one game left in the campaign, Wagg backed up the sentiments of captain Chris Cooke that regardless of tournament and season situation, the side still give everything they have for the fans and the badge.

"I read before the game about Chris Cooke talking about pride, and it's something we mentioned in the pre-match huddle that wearing the Daff is a huge honour and a privilege.

"Every time we go out there we have it give it our all, we've got one more game to go and hopefully we back up this performance and finish with a win."
