All-rounder Graham Wagg has signed a new one-year contract extension with Glamorgan, which keeps him at the Club until at least the end of the 2020 season.

The 36-year-old joined the Welsh county from Derbyshire in 2011 and has since gone on to play 250 matches for Glamorgan across all formats.

He has taken 454 wickets and amassed 5,804 runs in 161 first-class matches across his career and in 2015 struck a career-best 200 against Surrey at Guildford. He is also Glamorgan’s third-highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket with 92 dismissals.

Wagg also received his county cap in 2013 and was awarded a Testimonial Year in 2019.

“I’m delighted to extend my time at Glamorgan,” said Wagg. “It’s been an honour to wear the daffodil and I’ve loved every second of being part of this fantastic club.

“I felt in really good form this year, especially with the bat, and it was great to be involved in all three competitions and put in good performances for the team.

“To play for Glamorgan means a lot to me – the fans are great, my family is settled here and I’m really excited about the direction the team is taking. I just want to keep giving it everything I’ve got for as long as I can.”

Director of cricket Mark Wallace, said: “It’s great news for the Club that Graham has committed to Glamorgan for another year.

“He’s a very adaptable cricketer who can play across all three formats, in a variety of positions and roles.

“He’s one of the fittest members of the squad and retaining his experience for another season is excellent news for the club.”
