We didn't let our heads drop - Lloyd

Glamorgan's 2019 Royal London One-Day Cup campaign continued with a second consecutive defeat but David Lloyd believes that the side have the right mentality to 'bounce back' and make things right against Somerset.

The middle-order batsman joint top-scored with 68 but his side weren't able to put up a challenging enough total for reigning champions Hampshire, with the three early wickets denting the side's chances.

“We are very disappointed," said Lloyd. "I think we did well to get to the position we did after we lost three early wickets.

“That shot us in the foot and anything after was always rebuilding and trying to get to any total we could to defend.

“We thought 320 would have been a good score but we were quite below that in the end, it was a good wicket and we should have got more runs.

“We need to learn from the mistakes from that game and the first game and try to take games deeper.

“The good thing is the heads didn’t drop but that isn’t good enough.

“At the end of the day we are here to win games. Two losses have hurt us so we want to bounce back against Somerset and make things right.”
