Glamorgan are firmly on top in their LV= County Championship clash against Leicestershire as they head into the final day.
The Welsh county were able to build a 117 run first innings lead with Chris Cooke hitting a half-century, before the bowlers went to work and reduced the visitors to 158/7 and a lead of just 41 runs.
“It was a very good day,” said Cooke. “I think it was important the first hour this morning to get through the new ball. I thought they bowled brilliantly and then to get the 100 and odd lead was a good effort and then we bowled brilliantly this afternoon and got our rewards at the end.
“We knew it was going to be hard work this morning and a bit of a grind and we were prepared for that.
“Obviously with the new ball and they have got two or three really good seamers there. It was a case of trying to stick in and have a look after lunch and try and be a bit more positive, it didn’t quite go to plan but 430 odd is a decent effort on that wicket, and we have seen a few are going up and down.”
