Head coach David Harrison was 'disappointed' by the narrow loss to Yorkshire Vikings but says it won't dent his side's confidence ahead of their Royal London Cup semi-final on Monday.
Despite the defeat, Glamorgan still topped Group Two and will now play the winner from the quarter-final match between Essex Eagles and Yorkshire Vikings at Sophia Gardens.
"The lads have been great throughout the tournament and we are happy to have earned a home semi-final, but disappointed with the result against Yorkshire," said Harrison.
"It was a bit of a nightmare trying to follow all the results so we just focused on our game. The plan was to win and secure that home semi and we just kept an eye on the other matches.
"We got a great start through Hamish and Nick and they got a partnership going that put us in a really good position to win the game. Unfortunately, we just couldn’t get over the line.
"We’ve got a tight group and the application has been great. They have played for each other and that has shown in their results and in us being top of the group.
"It is a bonus in having three days to rest and prepare and not having to play a quarter-final. We got a fantastic start, but I thought the two young Yorkshire bowlers played really well in the last 10-15 overs on a slow pitch. They made it hard for us to score.
"Even so, we were pretty confident of knocking off the runs at the end. This won’t dent confidence. We’ve won four games in this competition and the games we’ve lost have been by very small margins. We are pretty confident and we will re-group and come back strong on Monday."
