Who Makes Your T20 Dream Team?

16 Apr 2014 | Cricket
Glamorgan fans have been invited to play the ECB's official NatWest T20 Blast Fantasy Game, and get closer the T20 Cricket than ever before.
The Fantasy Game will allow fans to represent Glamorgan against fans from other counties. Fans will be able to win great prizes, and of course bragging rights over their mates.

Fans are tasked with picking and managing their dream team of county cricket's T20 stars within a budget of 100 Cricket Credits. Different players are given a Cricket Credit value based on previous form/performance and in some cases reputation. Player Points are scored for batting, bowling and fielding - with bonus points being given for batsmen's strike rates, bowler's economy rates and the FTI Most Valuable Players.

Players can't be too biased towards their county - as the game allows you to pick 2 players from each county, and allows a maximum of 2 overseas players.

Fans will automatically enter the main competition - the winner of which will win £2,020 and four tickets for a day's play of the Investec Ashes Series in 2015. They will also compete against their fellow county fans in one of 18 mini-leagues - one for each county. The winners of the Glamorgan League will win £500.

Players will also be able to create up to 15 mini-leagues to compete against friends, family and colleagues.

Jacques Rudolph a bargain at 10 Cricket Credits?

Glamorgan's new arrival former South African opener Jacques Rudolph arrived at the SWALEC this week, and is expected to play a big part in the T20 campaign. He will cost you 10 Cricket Credits, while skipper Jim Allenby is 11.5 Cricket Credits.

Talking about the shortest format of the game Jacques told us T20s where you have to be more innovative in the way you get your scoring areas and its important as a batsmen or bowler to evolve your game. He also talked about his recent Ironman exploits in South Africa and how they may help his game, telling us there are a lot of principles you can draw from the Ironman into cricket when it comes to discipline and determination.
