No play was possible on Day 3 of the Specsavers County Championship clash at Emirates Riverside as the heavy rain took its toll on the outfield.
Durham are 262/8 and with Glamorgan needing to overcome Gloucestershire's lead of 16 points it would take a minor miracle on the final day for the Welsh county to achieve promotion.
“Another day of frustration is putting it lightly," said captain Chris Cooke. "We can’t control the weather so it’s very frustrating.
"The ground staff have done all they can but the outfield is just soaking and the run-ups are really wet.
"More rain is coming in later and there’s no wind or sun to dry it out so you’re always fighting an uphill battle, but that might be the final nail.
"I don’t know if there’s enough time left in the game to secure what we need - we can sit down and see what we can do.
"We’d need the first innings battings points, and that'll take a session or two out of the game."
