The club would like to congratulate board member, Sameer Rahman, for being selected in the UK’s Top 100 most influential people in Data and Analytics.
Sameer, who joined the Glamorgan board in 2017 as a non-executive director, was recognised for his work as interim director of insights at The Royal Mint.
Glamorgan Chairman, Gareth Williams, said: “This is acknowledgement of the fantastic work Sameer has done throughout his career in data analytics.
“Since joining the board, his knowledge and experience have proved invaluable and he has offered considerable support and insight to the club and our digital and data strategy.
“Everyone at Glamorgan would like to congratulate Sameer on this achievement.”
Before joining The Royal Mint, Sameer also enjoyed senior marketing, data and commercial roles in various large organisations and has worked as a consultant across the UK and internationally.
He is a published international author and speaker on data and digital-related topics and sees the application of data and digital as vital to the growth and future of the club.“I’m very proud to be included in this prestigious list,” said Sameer.
“I’m extremely passionate about data and its importance to businesses. Part of my role on the board is to help in the data and digital transformation of the club and we are working together to get clever on the match strategy and player recruitment for Glamorgan to be one of the best performing counties in all formats of the game.
“We are working with the commercial team to help digitise the club to give our supporters a much better experience pre, during and post-match so that our fans have an experience of a lifetime.
“I very much look forward to continuing to work with the club to ensure we achieve this goal.”
