Inspired by Glamorgan cricketers, a group of Glamorgan supporters took the Cancer Research Wales sponsored walk to Old Trafford last weekend
Cricket stars Graham Wagg, Jacques Rudolph and Mark Wallace met the supporters at the home of Lancashire CCC prior to the third of play of the recent LV= County Championship match.
Glamorgan supporter Gavin Rowlands explained, We really wanted to take part in the walk at Cardiff, but as it fell on the day of our Manchester trip, which was booked months in advance, we decided to do our own walk up here.
We walked from the hotel to the ground at least once each day, and it all added up to around 12 miles by the end of the match. The charity is close to the hearts of a few of the walkers, and also the people who sponsored us, and we have spoken to the charity and hope to do more fundraising with them in the future.
