The ICC Nissan Trophy Tour – 1 week to go

25 Apr 2017 | Cricket
It’s just one week to go until the ICC Nissan Trophy Tour starts in Taunton on Tuesday 2 May.

For the first time ever, the ICC Champions Trophy and ICC Women’s World Cup will tour together ahead of this summer’s tournaments.

They will visit each of the seven Host Cities during May, stopping of at clubs, schools and iconic locations to allow as many fans as possible to see the Trophies during the build up to the tournaments.

As well as allowing fans to get close to the two trophies, the tour will also celebrate local heroes and help them become champions. People can nominate anyone they think deserve to be recognised for their contribution to cricket and the wider community.

Some of the key dates are:

  • 2 May in Taunton – A visit to The County Ground for Somerset v Kent
  • 5 May in Bristol – A visit to the County Ground for England v Ireland
  • 10 May in Cardiff – Cricket in castles around South Wales
  • 15 May in Birmingham – Attock Cricket Club will be host to the trophies for a special cricket event
  • 20 May in Derby – The Trophies will be on display at the Intu Centre
  • 21 May in Leicester – Leicestershire Caribbean Cricket Club will host the Trophies
